viewsvg.com is built so we never see your files. This page explains what that means.

Your files stay on your device

Every feature (viewing, editing, optimizing, and converting to PNG, JSX or data URIs) runs as JavaScript in your browser. SVG files you open, paste or drop are never uploaded to viewsvg or anyone else.

Local storage

To restore your work after a reload, open files and preferences (theme, background, editor layout) are saved in your browser's local storage. Only you can see this data, and you can clear it any time by closing the files or clearing your browser's site data.

Share links

The "Share" button compresses your SVG into the link itself, in the part after #. Browsers never send that part to a server. Anyone you give the link to can see the SVG.

Open from URL

If you open an SVG from a URL, your browser requests the file directly from that website. viewsvg does not proxy or log the request.

Hosting

The site is served as static files by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare may process standard request data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

No accounts, no ads

viewsvg has no sign-up, no advertising, and no third-party trackers.
